Dr. Lisa  Rosenberg is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Rush Medical College.  She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at Washington University in St. Louis in 1988.  She is an Associate Professor at Northwestern University where she has been a leader in education and training of medical students, residents, fellows, and colleagues.  She is the recipient of several honors, including excellence in teaching and the Heed Prize for subspecialty training.

Dr. Rosenberg practices ophthalmology at University Eye Specialists with offices in Chicago and Northbrook.  Dr. Rosenberg is on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  Her specialty interest is in the management of glaucoma,  and anterior segment microsurgery including cataract removal and lens implantation, laser treatment, and refractive surgery (LASIK).

Dr. Rosenberg has distinguished herself  locally not only as the President of the Chicago Ophthalmological Society, but also as the founding President of the Chicago Glaucoma Society.  She is nationally reknown as a surgical textbook author, a prolific contributor to over 35 publications and book chapters, and an extensive lecturer.

Equally important is Dr. Rosenberg's dedication to research to improve understanding and advance treatment of ocular conditions.  University Eye Specialists have differentiated themselves by creating the Chicago Center for Vision Research, a not-for-profit site that conducts clinical investigations in the field of ocular disease.
